Set up Custom Email Sender

Modified on Fri, 30 Jan at 4:47 PM

With the Custom Email Sender, you can send emails from Lemontaps using your organization’s own sender address, for example invitation or follow-up emails from marketing@company.com. This ensures that emails are sent on behalf of your organization and are delivered reliably.

Feature availability note:
The Custom Email Sender is a paid feature and depends on your subscribed plan.
If this feature is not included in your current plan, please contact support@lemontaps.com.

Requirements

  • An email address from your own domain to be used as the sender

  • Access to your domain’s DNS management (usually handled by your IT team)

How to set up the Custom Email Sender

  1. Share the sender email address
Send the desired sender email address (e.g. marketing@company.com) to support@lemontaps.com.

  2. Receive DNS records from Lemontaps
After your request, we will send you the required DNS records that need to be configured by your IT team.

  3. Add the DNS records
Forward the DNS records to your IT department and have them added in your domain’s DNS management.

  4. Confirm the setup
Once the DNS records are in place, please let us know.

  5. Activation of email sending
We will verify the configuration and then activate email sending via the Custom Email Sender.

Important notes

  • DNS changes may take several minutes to a few hours to take effect, depending on your provider.

  • The Custom Email Sender can only be activated once all DNS records are correctly configured.

  • The DNS records should remain in place permanently to ensure reliable email delivery.
