Setup of the printed business card ordering system

Please email all of the information below to support@lemontaps.com so we can set up your custom ordering system for printed business cards.


1. Design Template

(If you're using special colors, please make sure these are included in the design files.)

We need three files for each design:

  • File 1: InDesign file

    • Format: Final business card size (typically 85 × 55 mm)

    • Include a sample with a long name and lots of details to ensure the layout works for all use cases

    • Add a placeholder QR code, which we’ll later replace with the dynamic QR code for the digital business card

    • Important: The QR code must use CMYK colors only

  • File 2: PDF background without text fields

    • Final card size (usually 85 × 55 mm)

    • Contains only the background design, without names, contact details, or QR code

  • File 3: PDF background without text fields, with bleed

    • Same as File 2, .pdf file of the background in the final size of the business card (usually 85 x 55 mm), but with bleed (usually 3 mm)


2. Multiple Designs

If you'd like your team members to choose between different designs, please send us all additional templates.

A one-time setup fee of €99 (net) applies for each additional design.


3. QR Code

Please let us know which type of QR code you'd like to use:

  • Online QR Code – links to the live digital business card (always up-to-date)

  • Offline QR Code – works without an internet connection but won’t reflect updates


4. Fonts

Please send us all fonts used in your designs as .otf or .ttf files.


5. Shared Fields

Are there fields that should be identical across all business cards (e.g., company address or website)? If so, please let us know.


Phone Number Formatting Notes:

Phone numbers are displayed exactly as they are stored in the digital business card.
In the Contact Attribute Configurator here under “Edit phone number” you can define:

  • whether the “+” should be shown or not

  • whether automatic formatting should be applied

  • or whether you want to set your own formatting rules


6. Field Hints & Examples

Would you like to display any hint text or formatting examples for specific fields?

Some customers, for example, display a sample phone number format for consistency.


7. Required Fields

Which fields must be filled out in every case? Please specify all required fields.


8. User Roles & Workflow

Who is allowed to create business cards?

  • Only administrators?

  • Or also regular users?

If users can create cards themselves: Should there be an approval process?

If yes, we’ll need an email address where approval requests should be sent. All admins can access the approval dashboard, but a central notification email is required.


9. Order Form Settings

What details should be collected during the order process?

  • Should users be able to select a quantity? If yes, which quantities?

  • Should the delivery address be collected?

  • Should the billing address be collected as well?


10. Printing Options

Option 1: Use Your Own Printer
If you use your own printing service, please provide their email address. Our system will automatically send:

  • The print file

  • (Optional) Quantity

  • (Optional) Delivery address

Option 2: Use Our Partner Printer (druckdiscount24)
Want a fast and cost-effective option? We can integrate with druckdiscount24, our trusted printing partner.

To set this up, we need:

  • Your billing address

  • An email address to receive invoices

  • Would you prefer an invoice per order, or a monthly summary invoice?

  • Let us know your preferred business card configuration. You can find all options and pricing on their site:

    • Which color setting?

    • Paper type? (most customers use: 350g ChromoNorm2 FSC Mix Credit)

    • Which quantities (100, 250, 500?) – Only the quantities offered by druckdiscount24 are possible

    • Which production time? (Most customers use Express printing (approx. 3 days production time); Standard printing (approx. 5 days); Discount printing (9–10 days))


FAQs


What happens after I send you the files?
Once we receive your files, we typically set up your system within a week. If you’ve submitted multiple designs, we usually start with one for testing to ensure everything runs smoothly before setting up the rest.

You’ll then have time to test the full ordering process. Any changes to the design or system are free of charge for 3 weeks. After that, changes start at €99, depending on complexity.


Is the business card system available in English?
Yes! When you switch your Lemontaps interface to English, the system will automatically display in English.

Want to translate the field labels too (e.g., "Name", "Position")? That’s available for a one-time fee of €99 per design.


Are other languages supported?
Currently, the system is only available in German and English.


Can I request changes later?
Absolutely! You can request updates to the system or design at any time.

  • Simple changes: €99 service fee

  • For more complex updates, we’ll provide a quote beforehand.


Can each Unit Admin receive the approval email individually?

No, currently only one or more people can be designated for the entire organization to receive approval requests from all users.
