Automatic Address Formatting
What does automatic address formatting mean?
As soon as you add an address to your profile, Lemontaps takes care of the correct formatting for you. Street, postal code, city, state, and country are automatically arranged in the proper order depending on the respective country.
Our address formatting supports over 200 countries and territories worldwide and follows each country’s specific formatting rules.
Example of different formats
Depending on the country, the order and presentation of address elements can vary significantly, as shown below:
| Germany | USA: | Japan: |
| Musterstraße 12 10115 Berlin Deutschland |
123 Main St San Francisco, CA 94105 United States |
〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya City Jingumae 1-2-3 Japan |
These differences are automatically recognized and displayed correctly by Lemontaps once the respective country is selected.
Adding a state / region
If you want to include a state or region (e.g., for the USA or Canada), you can easily enable this field:
How it works:
Admin Dashboard → Contact Attributes Editor → Add a new field or edit an existing one → Expand field type “Address”

There, you can add the field “address_state” so it can be maintained in the profile and displayed correctly.
Automatic translation of address labels
The labels of address fields (e.g., “City,” “Country,” “Postal Code”) are automatically translated into the viewer’s language.
This means:
-
A contact from Germany sees “Stadt”
-
A contact from the USA sees “City”
-
A contact from France sees “Ville”
This ensures your profile always appears locally adapted and easy to understand—no matter who views it.
Data import via SCIM or Excel
If you import addresses via SCIM or Excel, you can specify countries flexibly:
Supported formats include:
-
Country codes (e.g., DE, US, FR)
-
English names (e.g., Germany, United States)
-
German names (e.g., Deutschland, Vereinigte Staaten)
Lemontaps automatically recognizes these entries and maps them to the correct country, including the appropriate formatting.
